Hypnobalancing™
We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make the world.
Buddha
In the fast-paced, networked world that we live in today, unfortunately, it has become common for many people to feel completely washed out and drained by the various demands that life places on them. The natural result of this is that people lose contact with themselves and their inner balance.
In this unbalanced state, larger and even small tasks require far more energy than the same task do when people are in a more balanced state. Hypnobalancing™ is a therapy based on a combination of flexible & cooperative hypnotherapy inspired by Stephen Gilligan’s Self-Relation Therapy, Gene Gendlin’s Focusing. Hypnobalancing™ also includes NLP, energetic psychology, and breathing techniques.
By using a sophisticated combination of these techniques Hypnobalancing™ results in balancing out the body, mind, and soul. In this renewed, balanced state of physical, intellectual and spiritual health, clients (patients) can regain the natural inner balance which enables them to meet life’s challenges far more easily. In the condition of balance physical, intellectual and spiritual health is a natural inner condition which makes you meet challenges more easily.
The personality traits of the individual are taken into account during therapy to use their unique strengths on both a subconscious level and in trance states to achieve the most effective combination with the conscious mind.
6 Phase Hypnobalancing™
Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage.
Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.
Rainer Maria Rilke
6 Phase Hypnobalancing™ is a therapeutical method with particularly powerful results for clients where previous attempts to find a solution have not been successful.
As the name already reveals, the complete 6-phase Hypnobalancing ™ has 6 phases in which intensive solution processes take place. The number of sessions comprises an average of 3 to 9 sessions. And not every client needs to go through all 6 phases to solve it.
One of the goals of this form of Hypnobalancing™ is to remove limiting legacies such as trauma, dissolving patterns of behavior and thinking, beneficially integrating experiences and establishing personal balance. In a state of balance, physical, mental and emotional health is the natural state of the body and challenges become manageable.
Deep Hypnobalancing™
It’s hard to find happiness in us, and it’s impossible to find it anywhere else.
Nicolas Chamfort
Deep Hypnobalancing ™ is a technique of Hypnobalancing™. Here especially deep trance states are generated. These are used for deep level solutions and to harmoniously promote personal balance.
Once deep trance is reached, only a few content suggestions are used for change. Deep Hypnobalancing™ uses the condition itself. The noticeable balance is physically and mentally experienced as very pleasant. The state unlocks resources that can be used because reorganization is easier in this state.

Hypnobalancing™ and solution-focused thinking
Everyone approaches a problem differently. Some focus on the problem or the reason why a problem emerged. Others prefer to think about possible solutions that help them to solve a problem.
Approaching a difficult situation problem-oriented might be helpful if we attempt to avoid similar problems or mistakes in the future. Unfortunately, when it comes to solving the problem with the focus on what doesn’t work we sometimes waste large amounts of our precious time.
In mechanics knowing what doesn’t work that worked before can be helpful. So we know what do repair. With new challenges – and especially with the human mind – it is different.
Most of the time problem-focused thinking does not help us to solve difficult situations, which is especially necessary in times where one must find quick solutions to an upcoming problem. Although this thinking can produce some useful insights and ideas, it will often lead to a negative and unconstructive outcome. The problem-focused approach can have negative effects on one’s motivation. Especially people with anxiety already focus too much on the problem, that wants they want to avoid and it leads to more fear.
Fortunately, there is a positive and powerful alternative; focussing on finding the solution, rather than unraveling the problem.
Solution-focused therapy concentrates on everything that is already being done that is moving or has the potential, to move in the direction of the preferred future. Motivation comes from focusing on doing what works, rather than dwelling on what does not. In effect, it raises awareness of relative success and encourages the lessons of progress to be learned.
There are three key principles to work solutions-focused:
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Once you know what works, do more of it.
If it’s not working, do something different.
Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg, 1995
Yes, concentrating on the solution sounds logical. Yet it is rarely done in practice. No surprise, considering that a focus on solutions requires a radical shift in our thinking. Hypnotherapy with Hypnobalancing focusses on solutions instead of problems, on strengths rather than weaknesses and on what’s going well instead of what’s going wrong. Such solution-focused hypnotherapy uses practical, modern, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period.
The myth that hypnotherapy is only for problems
Nurture your good dreams:
Be careful what you water your dreams with.
Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream.
Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success.
Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success.
Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.
Lao Tzu
Some people believe that hypnotherapy is inappropriate for people in business roles because it is for people with severe mental problems. The truth is that a lot of successful people all over the world have used hypnotherapy to deal with fears, increase confidence, lose weight, quit smoking and drug habits, beat insomnia, and boost their learning capacity and self-esteem. Hypnotherapy is not like the mystical interpretation you see in Hollywood movies. A hypnotherapist merely uses trance – an altered state of awareness – to plant positive suggestions and help you reprogram your thoughts. The experienced therapist will do intense psychotherapy while you in a trance state.
Mental wellness
How we feel influences so much how we think, behave and therefore how fulfilled our lives are.
Wellness is a relatively new paradigm in health care. I am sure that mental wellness will be an important part of the future of mental and physical health. We are moving daily toward a concept of holistic treatment; the idea of treating the whole person, rather than just handing out prescriptions. It is up to us to take care of ourselves. Do whatever is good for you; for some people, it is yoga, meditation, a walk in the park,… And there is Hypnobalancing.
Hypnobalancing has its focus on an inner balance that makes it easier to feel centered, in touch with ourselves and our resource. Developed to help clients with fears, Hypnobalancing has shown a lot of positive side effects also in other fields of psychotherapy.

Trauma Interferes With Some Of Our Basic Assumption
Fear is a normal and natural part of life, without which our chances of survival would be greatly diminished. When it is temporary, it can be helpful. But when it takes over, it can interfere with essential elements of a fulfilling life.
