The initial sensitizing event (ISE)Hypnotherapy and Hypnobalancing™ in Berlin
What is an initial sensitizing event (ISE)?
The initial sensitizing event (ISE)
The initial sensitizing event (ISE) is the original memory responsible for causing the symptoms the client is suffering. The Initial Sensitising Event (ISE) is not always easily detected and there is often more than one Initial Sensitising Event.
The first negative perception stored in the subconscious is usually accompanied by great trauma – it is called the Initial Sensitizing Event (ISE). In Hypnotherapy an affect bridge can be helpful to restructure problem-triggering experiences. Usually, it starts with clarifying the genesis of the unpleasant feeling. In 6 Step Hypnobalancing™ this is one of the steps.

These pages are intended to provide information to those interested in psychotherapy with hypnotherapy. They are neither intended to replace psychotherapy nor a personal consultation, examination, or diagnosis by a licensed physician. I am not a medical doctor. I am specialized to help people with fears and anxiety disorders. The profession of a hypnotherapist (official permission to practice psychotherapy according to the HPG) is fundamentally different from the practice of a medical doctor. Medical diagnoses are not made, nor are promises of healing made or medications prescribed. A medical or psychiatric intervention, if necessary, is not to be replaced by hypnotherapeutic treatment under any circumstances.
