Being didactic, informative, interpretive.
Challenging, providing direct feedback to the client.
Encouraging the client to release tension in laughter, crying, trembling and storming.
Being reflective, encouraging self-directed problem solving.
Being approving, confirming and validating the client as a human being.
A supportive intervention affirms the value and worth of the individual.
